What We Offer

We are devoted to serving the medical needs of women during all stages of their lives, from adolescence and past menopause. We offer a broad spectrum of high-quality preventative and specialty care. The most common type of visit is a good woman’s exam.

Some of our services include:
  • Annual exams
  • Evaluation and treatment of abnormal pap smears
  • Including Colposcopy and LEEP procedures
  • Treatment for menstrual disorders
  • Menopause management
  • Hormone replacement therapy
  • STD testing and treatment
  • Contraception: Including birth control pills, IUD insertion and removal, diaphragm fitting, Depoprovera, Ortho Evra patch, Implanon, Nuva ring, and tubal ligations
  • Treatment for urinary incontinence and prolapse

A well woman exam is not a problem visit. Suppose you have a woman’s health issue or concern (e.g., irregular bleeding, vaginal discharge, breast mass). In that case, a separate appointment will be scheduled to address your concerns adequately. Occasionally, there may be enough time to complete examining a woman and a problem visit. In this situation, two separate visits will be charged for that day.

A well-examined woman’s report includes:
  • Clinical breast exam
  • Pelvic exam including a Pap smear if you are due for one
  • Discussion of women’s health topics such as birth control options and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections
  • Refill of prescriptions related to women’s health care

Obstetrics

All of us at Overlake Obstetricians and Gynecologists hope that your prenatal care, labor, delivery, and postpartum experience will be as pleasant and fulfilling as possible. We provide care for all of your pregnancy needs, including twin and high-risk pregnancies. We try to be personally available to our patients for all their care, including labor and delivery; however, it is impossible to be on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The physicians routinely rotate call coverage after hours, weekends, holidays, and vacations.

Midwifery

midwives

During labor, the midwife works closely with the woman, her family members, and the Overlake nursing staff to provide quality care. The birth plan is shared with the nursing staff. Decisions about pain management are made jointly with the woman and her support person. Should conditions arise which require physician involvement, there is an obstetrician on call at all times.

The midwives and obstetricians at Overlake Ob/Gyn work closely together to promote optimum care, whether for pregnancy and birth or gynecological health. This team approach is ideal for women who prefer the care of a midwife but would like the assurance of a smooth transition to physician care if needed.

Manage health problems by developing an individualized plan of care, prescribing medications or treatments, obtaining consultations and referrals, and coordinating health care services.
