There’s nothing worse than looking forward to a nice meal out – no prepping/cooking/cleaning/etc. – only to have a rambunctious kid or intolerant table neighbors take the “Aaaaaah” right out of it. That’s why we thought we’d put together a list of some of the family-friendly restaurants for moms and kids in Issaquah.
Five Family-friendly Issaquah Restaurants for Moms and Kids
Here are our recommendations, in no particular order:
1. Agave Cocina
Chances are your kiddos are pretty hungry by the time you’ve packed them up, arrived at the restaurant, and waited for a table. That’s where complimentary chips & salsa come to the rescue. While you’re perusing Agave’s delicious menu of both traditional and unique Mexican dishes, your kids will have something to snack on. Their kid’s menu includes tried and true favorites such as quesadillas and tacos but doesn’t leave out the little ones who love chicken fingers and fries.
2. Ram Restaurant
Sure, it’s a great spot to grab a beer and watch your favorite sporting event, one of many TVs placed all over the restaurant, but did you know it’s also family-friendly? The kid’s menu offers a wide range of choices from pasta to chicken nuggets along with kid-friendly sides like applesauce. They will even get a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream when they’ve finished their meal (upon request).
3. Fins Bistro
The décor may be more upscale with a menu fit for foodies, but the restaurant still accommodates families. They are a favorite place for brunches and Friday or Saturday dinners. Another bonus, they have an excellent wine menu, so if you can get your kids to color quietly for a while (or if you are up for letting them have a little “iPhone screen time”), you might even be able to enjoy a glass of wine paired with the perfect dish. Check out the “Little Fins Menu” for their kid-friendly offerings.
4. Zeeks Pizza
No list of eateries that involve kids would be complete without a pizza parlor. We don’t need to go into too much detail here because well, it’s pizza. But the key thing to note is that you’ll be able to find options to suit the pickiest of kids. You can “Craft Your Own” pizza, breadsticks and salad!
5. WildFin American Grill
So you’ve been seated for two minutes, and already your kids have taken all the napkins, forks, and their glass of water and built a fort at the table. WildFin gets the award for providing an interactive kid’s menu that includes trivia, coloring, and games to help keep them occupied. Well, maybe at least until the food arrives. And bonus – each kid’s meal includes a starter, entree, dessert, and beverage, all for one price.
