Pregnancy isn’t easy for everyone. Some of us feel overwhelmed and unsure of what to expect during this amazing time. Lucky for you, there are lots of resources out there, including several great websites specific to pregnancy.
Here is a list of 5 of our favorite pregnancy websites:
1. Pregnancy Magazine
This blog is full of helpful articles on topics ranging from pregnancy to breastfeeding. You have the option to read it online or purchase an annual subscription for just $9.99. Should you choose to subscribe, you’ll have access to the Buyer’s Guide, which includes expert reviews on baby products to help you determine what you should add to that baby registry!
2. What to Expect
If you love to calculate, track, and follow timelines, then What to Expect is the resource for you. This website offers an “Ovulation Calculator,” a “Pregnancy Week-by-Week” calendar, and “Baby Development Month-by-Month” so you can prepare for what lies ahead (or shall we say, “what cries ahead?” – see what we did there?).
3. the bump
Many of you may have heard of the “the knot” for all things weddings. Well, they have a sister publication that covers all things for your baby—stuck on a name? Why not try their “Baby Name Finder“? Looking for a way to reveal the gender to your friends and family? They’ve got an entire article on gender reveal ideas! And just like you may have set up your wedding registry on “the knot,” you can set up a baby registry on “the bump.”
4. American Pregnancy Association
As their website states, “The American Pregnancy Association is a national health organization committed to promoting reproductive and pregnancy wellness through education, support, advocacy, and community awareness.” Not only do they provide wonderful resources such as a pregnancy quiz, healthy recipes, and “The Bumpy Truth Blog,” but they also offer the opportunity for you to live chat or hop on the phone with a “Pregnancy Educator.”
5. babyMed
“babyMed was conceived by ObGyn Professor Amos Grunebaum, MD after he realized that many of his patients planning to get pregnant and those with difficulties getting pregnant required extensive education about reproductive health and getting pregnant.” In addition to covering a wide range of popular pregnancy topics, all you app savvy mama’s out there can download the babyMed OBIE app so you can have all of their resources right at your fingertips. They also offer a Fertility Course where you can learn how to optimize your chances of getting pregnant.
While these are 5 of our favorite websites, there are many great resources out there. Check out this article on “The 50 Best Pregnancy Blogs” for a more intensive list!
